Ford Fusion Hybrid

There is a good reason why the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid was named 2010's North American Car of the Year. Few hybrid cars currently on the market have been as effective as the Ford Fusion Hybrid at combining the benefits of a hybrid with the comfort and driving experience offered by a conventional sedan. Were it not for the hybrid badge on the back of the vehicle, the Ford Fusion Hybrid would be virtually indistinguishable from the regular Ford Fusion.

Equipped with a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder 156 horsepower engine with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and Front-Wheel Drive, the sporty and sharp looking 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid builds on the success of its predecessor and offers EPA estimated fuel economy ratings of 41 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 39 mpg combined. Such figures easily beat those of competitors like the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Nissan Altima Hybrid. In addition, the Ford Fusion Hybrid can operate on electric power at up to 47 miles per hour.

The 2012 edition of the Fusion Hybrid also comes with an upgraded hybrid system, improved tuning, and Ford's innovative SmartGauge cluster comprised of a conventional speedometer in between two LCD screens whose content can be customized to show different types of information. There is also a "green motivator" on the far right depicting a tree branch which gains or loses leaves depending on your driving habits. With a base MSRP starting at only $28,100 USD and backed by an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty for hybrid components (5 year/60,000 mile warranty for remaining components) the Ford Fusion Hybrid is set to take the hybrid market by storm. If you are serious about doing your part for the environment by driving a hybrid, this puppy is a must have on your short list. Go test drive one today!
